MAHQ is an affiliate of and supports the National Association for Health Care Quality. Included in this affiliation is our support for the Certified Professional in HealthCare Quality or CPHQ. The programs MAHQ offers provides continuing education credits for CPHQ re-certification for those who attend. Many of our educational sessions are of interest to other healthcare professionals who may use the session brochure for their own re-certification process. Our educational session brochures are shared with neighboring state associations. Typically our educational session averages about 50 attendees. Any educational session attendance fees are estimated to cover the session expenses.
Current membership is 85 and growing. Primarily the membership is comprised of hospital nursing quality professionals and managed care quality professionals. Recently, professionals in medical records/health information, long-term care, risk management, case management, patient safety and others have demonstrated interest in the association. All are welcome.
